[00:00:08.83] Hi. Welcome back to Nancy's Book Corner. I'm Nancy Trush, co-founder of Daniel's Music Foundation and Daniel's mom. As an early childhood educator, one of my favorite things to do is to share special books about differences with my students.

[00:00:29.94] The title of today's book is Gracie's Ears written and illustrated by Debbie Blackington. This is a story about a little girl named Gracie who loves to do all the things that other children love to do, but she has difficulty hearing. It's as if her ears are sleeping. During the story she and her family learn about hearing aids that help her discover the sounds of the world. Let's get started.

(DESCRIPTION)

[00:01:05.02] Nancy opens the book. We see Gracie doing each action.

(SPEECH)

[00:02:33.35] Gracie needs hearing aids to help her hear, made just for her to fit in each ear. Hearing aids make sounds louder. They help push the sound through to have Gracie's ears work like most people do. This will make Gracie's ears stop sleeping.

(SPEECH)
