You are invited to attend our free event series that exposes the DMF community to new artists and types of music, and introduces DMF to new audiences.
Hosted throughout the year, a different keynote artist will perform a 40-minute set, followed by an open-mic session. We will finish off the evening with an interactive group song - DMF style. Snackappella will be open for refreshments. Due to space limitations you MUST RSVP to attend this event directly to underground@danielsmusic.org or 212.289.8912. All guests must be 16 years or older to participate in this event.
There are a limited number of open mic slots available on a first-come first-served basis each month, so if you are interested in performing please contact Nadine ASAP.

Individuals can bring their own music (acceptable file formats flash drive, iPhone/iPod, a YouTube link or you can choose a song from the DMF list.)

Featured Keynote Artist
Based in NYC, Iain S. Forrest, known as Eyeglasses, is a singer-songwriter and classically trained cellist who composes pop-rock music built on soaring melodies and lush string sounds that find their sonic influence from the classical genre. Eyeglasses was originally started by Iain and fellow classically trained musician, Francis Kang, in 2013. The two high schoolers took to the streets of cities across the D.C. metropolitan area, performing contemporary songs for two cellos. Iain is now a medical student at Mount Sinai, NYC, and performs at weddings, restaurants, parties, charity and public concerts across the area.
